Abstract: Sudha Murthy, a renowned Indian author and philanthropist, is known for her remarkable contributions to modern Indian literature. Her novels are blend of modernity and traditions.Murthys novels captivate readers with their simplicity, effortlessly drawing them into the lives of her characters. Through her narratives, she not only entertains but also inspires and motivates. It is a reflection of her extensive travels across India and abroad, where she has gathered experiences that find expression in her writing. Her novels are simple narratives that enable readers to get connected with her literary characters. Her books address many social and gender issues. Murthys works serve as a mirror to the complexities of Indian society, particularly in the portrayal of women.By infusing autobiographical elements into her stories, she creates a deeply personal connection with her readers, allowing them to see themselves reflected in her characters. This paper will explore Sudha Murthys impactful storytelling in three seminal works Gently Falls the Bakula, Mahashweta, and House of Cards. It will aim to unravel the autobiographical elements woven into her novels. By conducting a thematic analysis, this study will unveil Sudha Murthys personal journey from her academic pursuits and career sacrifices to her unwavering commitment to social causes. The paper will follow the parallel trajectories of Sudha Murthys life experiences and the narratives. This research will shed light on the underlying motivations, values, and beliefs that underpin her storytelling. It will offer a nuanced understanding of how her own journey enriches the depth and authenticity of her characters and themes, resonating with readers on a deeply personal level.
