Title of the paper :
Navigating Identity Crisis: A Comparative Analysis of Munshi Premchand and Paul Beattys Select Novels
Abstract:
The aim of the present study is to explore the Identity crisis of marginalized society by comparing the select works of Afro-American writer, Paul Beatty and pre-independence Indian writer, Munshi Premchand. The current Paper portrays the painful existence of marginalized groups imprisoned in dominating power structures. The writings of Paul Beatty and Munshi Premchand used to study the oppressed groups African Americans and women in the United States and Peasants, Untouchables, and Women in India. The study also shows how two very different societies are structured by comparable hegemonic socioeconomic, cultural, and political oppressive institutions that define and delimit the identities of the marginalized individuals in the respective societies.
