Title of the paper :
Struggle For Existence: A Critical Study on Taslima Nasreens Phera
Abstract:
This research paper delves into the profound themes and narrative techniques in Taslima Nasreens novel Phera. The study shall critically analyse how Phera explores the complex intersections of identity, exile, and the longing for belonging, which are recurring motifs in Nasreens body of work. Set against the backdrop of socio-political turmoil, the novel captures the struggles of displacement and the quest for self-discovery. Furthermore, the research highlights Nasreens critique of societal norms and the political structures that perpetuate marginalization and alienation. The paper also situates Phera within the context of Nasreens own experiences of exile, arguing that the novel serves as both a personal and universal commentary on the enduring human desire for home and identity. By examining the thematic and stylistic elements of Phera, this research shall contribute to the growing scholarship on Taslima Nasreen, offering a nuanced understanding of her work and its relevance to contemporary socio-political discourse and a womens struggle for existence.
