Title of the paper :
War and Pain of Banishment: Reflecting on Displacement and Identity Crisis in Diasporic Narratives
Abstract:
People are forcefully made to exile their homelands due to some severe and uncontrollable circumstances. Some circumstances are natural, but most of them are man-made. In olden days, the ruling forces conquered places in the name of war in order to establish themselves as powerful, and once after the opposite rulers victory, the native people were displaced from their motherlands to some other places where they thrived to establish themselves and ended up facing societal accusations. This paper in detail will discuss how displacement happened as a result of war turning out to be a life-deciding turning point and the identity crisis they face in the newly rerouted land with reference to authors works such as Isabel Allendes A long petal of the sea and Crystal Hana Kims If you leave me and also by quoting enthralling lines from poets like Paamathi, Fadwa Tuqan, and many more.
