Unearthing the Themes of RRR: a Diasporic Analysis
Abstract:
Diaspora theory concerns the experiences of people living outside their home country due to migration, displacement or exile. This theoretical framework is crucial for understanding the complexity of identity, culture and history in the context of global movements. By examining how individuals and communities negotiate their identities in different cultural contexts, diaspora theory provides valuable insights into the broader impact of migration and displacement on cultural production and representation. Diaspora theory is deeply rooted in postcolonial studies and focuses on how the intersections of migration, colonisation and globalisation shacolonizationidentglobalizationing to Homi K. Bhabha diasporic identities are characteristics, a state in which different cultural influences intersect and create new, dynamic forms of identity Bhabha 37. This concept of hybridity is central to understanding how people in the diaspora engage with their cultural heritage while adapting to new environments.
