A Diasporic Study: Post-Colonial Study on Amitav Goshs The Circle of Reason
Abstract:
Postcolonial theory is a literary theory or critical approach that also deals with literature written. Post colonialism examines the effects of colonialism on former colonies and the power dynamics. Postcolonial theory holds that decolonized people develop a postcolonial identity that is based on cultural interactions between different identities. The term diasporic place a vital role in between two countries and two cultures and they have faced the different problem such as discrimination cultural transformation this location and the issue of their survival. The diasporic literature refers to the body of literary works that explores and reflects the experiences of people who have been displaced from their ancestral homelands and scattered across the globe. The research paper focuses on Amitav Ghosh The circle of Reasons within the contest of postcolonial diasporic literature. Novel focuses on migration and the displacement at also the loneliness through this novel explain that a man had to faced so many problems due to the migration. He must suffer the alienation, self-identity and displacement. And it highlights some of the issues of contemporary society such as economics inequality, immigration, hybridity, discrimination.
