Title of the paper :
Diaspora Through the Lens: Global Cinemas Cultural Tapestry
Abstract:
This paper examines the theme of diaspora in Rajkumar Hiranis film Dunki where the protagonist Shah Rukh Khan goes to London as an illegal immigrant. This film brings the spotlight on the barrier of migration, the agonies of Indigenous people, and the joys of homecoming, ultimately forging a universal allegory of the struggle involved in the migrant experience. This is an example of a movie that reflects typical peoples challenges about immigration face in cinema from all over the world. More significant still, this film participates in the intellectual and aesthetic parallels of the diasporas both in India and worldwide thus gifting the audience both cultural and individual insights into the migrant experience. However, the focus would be on the films impact on both local and international audiences, encompassing aspects related to the cultural and personal experiences of migrants.
