Title of the paper :
Sanguinity Redux: A Study of Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse- Five
Abstract:
This study aims at analyzing Kurt Vonneguts novel Slaughterhouse-five to demonstrate how the elements of social protest and better understanding of life helps his readers relate horrendous events of the past to the present. This is an anti-war book in which Vonnegut has sought to combine grave incidents with Gallows humor. The atrocities of war is exposed satirically through the experience of the author himself and the protagonist of the novel, Billy Pilgrim. The purpose is to establish and understand a relation to what Vonnegut has explained to what happened in the history and is happening in the present which is explained in details, accordingly some literary terms are indeed defined and the exceptional eminence of writing is crucial.
